Baptism

"Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments.  Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as children of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission:  Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water and the word."

Child Baptisms

Baptisms for children 0-6 years old are celebrated Saturdays at 5:00 pm or Sundays at 1:00 pm, for questions please contact Elizabeth Castaneda at 913.521.9362.

Baptisms for children ages 7-16, for questions please contact Bernadette Myers in the School of Religion at 913.521.9361.

Parents must complete the following steps prior to the baptism:

• Complete the baptismal form. The form may be submitted online or you may fill one out in the church office.  

• Attend a Baptism Preparation Class. This class for parents is usually held on the third Tuesday of the month. 

Adult Baptisms
