Malta Mass for the Sick—Saturday, March 23, 10:00am - Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann and Bishop James V. Johnston will concelebrate a special Mass with Anointing of the Sick and ritual blessing of the sick, in the manner done at Lourdes, France, on Saturday, March 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Cure of Ars Parish. We encourage anyone who is sick, suffering, chronically ill, and their caregivers, to attend. All those attending will receive prayer cards and Lourdes water to take home. A short reception will be held after the Mass. If possible, please send the names of those who wish to receive the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick to maltakc@yahoo.com or contact Doug Rivard at 913.620.1759.

Seven Last Words of Christ—Tuesday, March 26, 7:00 pm (In person and Livestream) This Curé of Ars tradition will be presented on the Tuesday of Holy Week. The evening is a powerful presentation of scripture, reflection, and beautiful music that places you in the presence of Jesus on the cross. This is a not-to-be-missed presentation for your family and friends.
Sacrament of Reconciliation ~ March 27, 6:00 pm The Sacrament of Reconciliation brings about a change of heart through God's mercy and forgiveness. Reconciliation (also known as Confession or Penance) is a sacrament instituted by Jesus Christ in His love and mercy to offer sinners forgiveness for offenses committed against God.
Holy Thursday ~ March 28, 7:00 pm (In person and Livestream) On this day we celebrate the Mass of the Lord’s Last Supper. We remember how the Eucharist began and recall Christ’s command of service through the washing of the feet. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament follows in the church until 11:00 pm.
Good Friday ~ March 29, 12:10 pm (In person and Livestream) and 7:00 pm - On this day we remember the death of Christ and the power of the cross. We hear the story of the Passion according to St. John, venerate the wood of the cross, and partake in Holy Communion. Good Friday is a day of fast and abstinence. Stations of the Cross will follow the 12:10 pm liturgy.

Easter Vigil Reception - Saturday, March 30 following Easter Vigil - The reception will be held in the Fr. Burak Room immediately following the Easter Vigil. It is a wonderful time to welcome our newest members of the church and celebrate the resurrection of our Savior. All are welcome!
The Great Vigil of Easter ~ March 30, 7:00 pm (In person and Livestream) - The Easter Vigil is the first Mass of Easter and the most glorious Mass of the church year. This is the night of great rejoicing as we light the new Easter candle and listen and respond to the great stories of our faith - the Scriptures; Our catechumens and candidates are welcomed into full communion with the Church; We renew our own baptismal vows, and come to the Eucharistic table, as renewed members of the Body of Christ.
Easter Sunday ~ March 31 - 7:00 am / 9:00 am(In person and Livestream) / 11:00 am / 1:00 pm Easter morning begins the 50 days of celebrating Jesus’ resurrection, the hope of our resurrection, the Ascension of Jesus into heaven, and the joyful conclusion of the season of Easter on Pentecost.

The following are special requests: canned meat (tuna, chicken, salmon), peanut butter, canned or dried beans, canned fruits, low sodium vegetables, pasta sauce and canned tomatoes, cereal (whole grain, low sugar content), whole grains (pasta, pancake mix, etc.), oatmeal or grits, and rice (brown, white or basmati).
Please bring NON-PERISHABLE food to the Catholic Charities truck on site after each Mass. Many in need are depending on us.
