The church roof was installed in 1978 and is in need of attention.
Our 80 ministries have only two meeting rooms to share.
The bid to repair our pews was $100,000 more than our bid to purchase new oak pews.
Our parish community has only a small space for socializing after Mass and funeral meals.
Our parish office space is not ADA compliant and is obsolete.
In our 2023 Space Needs Survey, parishioners indicated their most important “space” priorities as: deferred maintenance, parish hall, faith education, staff workspace, fellowship, meeting, storage and outdoor.
Our Vision:
Our parish finance council is planning strategically to prepare our parish facilities, that are built to last, for the next generations.
Ideally, we will have a worship space that is leak proof, with comfortable, durable pews.
A larger gathering space adjacent to the church entry, to accommodate our community building social connections and funeral meals
A new office building with numerous meeting spaces that functions as a service hub for our parish staff and 80 ministries.
Our Plan:
To ask all members of the parish to make a three year pledge to underwrite the church, parish hall and office improvements in 2025.
And break ground in 2026.
We estimate that our facility improvements will require a budget of $12M.
Urgency:
We have systematically been working our way through our delayed maintenance priority list. Now we are facing improvements that we cannot fund from our operating budget.
Fr. Storey has built tremendous good will and community cohesiveness during his tenure.
With no debt, we are operating from a position of strength.
Now is the time to conduct a capital campaign to fund our long term facility improvement.
