Marriage

"The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament."

Archdiocesan policy requires that a couple allow six months of preparation before their marriage and attend marriage preparation classes and spirituality sessions.  All couples preparing for marriage in the church must meet these requirements. Engaged couples must complete the following steps to begin planning a wedding at Curé of Ars:

• Contact the church office at [email protected] or 913.521.9362 to reserve your wedding date and to set up an appointment with Father Storey. Please contact as soon as possible as dates fill quickly.

• Obtain Baptismal Certificates (with notations of Sacraments if you are Catholic) to bring to the initial meeting with Father Storey.

Weddings at Curé of Ars are held on Saturdays at 1 pm.
