Are you curious about the Catholic faith? Have you been baptized in another Christian faith but are interested in learning about the Catholic Church? Were you baptized a Catholic and perhaps even made your First Holy Communion but were never Confirmed?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, a warm welcome to you! The process of exploring the Catholic faith is called the RCIA and we would love to have you join us!
The Rite of Christian Initiation is a gradually deepening process of exploring how God may be calling a person to a life of faith, exploring the person of Jesus, and encountering him and his community of believers, the Church.
Within this community, those inquiring into the Catholic faith uncover the story of God's salvation for all: the mystery of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. The working of the Holy Spirit is revealed in the beliefs, sacramental life, and spiritual practices of the Catholic Church.
RCIA classes will meet on Monday nights (starting in September) from 7-8:30 p.m in the Fr. Burak Room. Progress from one stage to the next is marked by liturgical celebrations in the midst of the parish community. If you are interested or just have questions, contact Lillian Klein at 913.521.9360, Bill Hobbs at 913.338.4820, or [email protected]. If you are ready to register, please fill out this form.
